Join us this Thursday for our Campaign Basics: Everything You Need to Know Meeting to hear from Valentina Connell, a campaign manager and Eli Cousin, a press assistant. Valentina is an expert on field and she has worked for the Ossoff Campaign and the Democratic Party of Georgia in addition to years of organizing. Eli has an aptitude for all things communications as a former press assistant for the MJ Hegar Senate campaign and a former intern for the Buttigieg Presidential campaign. Join us as we have a meeting discussing the Derek Chauvin trial, with special guest speaker, Jacari W. Harris. Jacari Harris is the executive director of the George Floyd Memorial Foundation. He has received the UNCF College President of the year, worked under Kamala Harris, and released a memoir. He'll speak on the Derek Chauvin trial and what to expect next in this national case. Join CalDems for the second part of our Professional Development Workshop series. We have a very special guest, Sarah Abdeshahian, who is our past president and all-around jobs and political expert! During the meeting, we’ll be sharing tips and resources, including helpful political job sites, opportunities, and advice on how to incorporate your Cal Dems experience into your resume and cover letter. Additionally, Sarah will be fielding questions and providing tips as a recent grad who is working in politics, and Elizabeth Grubb, our current president, will be giving feedback on resumes and cover letters individually. Come prepared with your resume and cover letter if you would like feedback.
