Staff Positions

Smart Ass is always looking to expand our staff and create a better publication. Here are some of the staff positions that are available:

• Writers: Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to submit articles on a variety of topics related to policy or politics. Articles can address issues on the local, state, national, or international levels. Articles for the publication should be somewhere between 400 and 1000 words apiece; longer ones can go on our website. Check out our submission guidelines for writers.
• Cartoonists: Draw cartoons that take a comical and critical look at political issues
• Copyeditors: Review submissions and edit content for quality and mechanics
• Distributors: Distribute the publication on Sproul Plaza so it reaches students on campus
• Fundraising Committee Members: Assist in fundraising activities, which may include selling ads, writing letters, and searching for donors
