[Cal Dems] CYD/CCD Candidates Forum: Thursday, 7 pm, 56 Barrows -- & Sign Up for Convention!

Hiya Dems!

So, tomorrow's my 21st birthday, and there's no way I'd rather celebrate
than seeing ALL OF YOU at the Cal Dems meeting! There's this little thing at
the end of the month called the California Democratic Party State
Convention, which means we'll be rounding up the masses and travelling down
to San Jose for an awesome weekend of democracy overload! This means two
things for you as of right now:

1.) At Convention, we'll be casting our club's vote for the new leadership
of the California Young Democrats (CYD) and California College Democrats
(CCD) for '08-'09. To prepare ourselves to make these endorsements, we've
invited all the candidates to come to the meeting tomorrow, tell us a bit
about themselves and their plans for CYD and CCD, and answer any questions
you may have. So be sure to come to the meeting *tomorrow at 7 pm in 56
Barrows* to hear from the future leadership for young Democrats in
California!

2.) And of course, it wouldn't be Convention if Cal Dems didn't send an
awesome group along! For the past few years we've had about 30 members go to
Convention, and this year you can too! Here's the details you need to know
before signing up at the meeting tomorrow:
     - What: *California Democratic Party State Convention* (

     - When: *Fri.-Sun., March 28th - 30th* (yes, that IS the last weekend
of Spring Break)
     - Where: *San Jose Convention Center, San Jose CA*
     - Cost: *All you pay is $30*, which covers: transportation, hotel,
registration fees, a t-shirt, training sessions, lunch on Saturday
afternoon, party on Saturday night, and much more!
     - Sign Me Up! *The deadline to register at the $30 rate is WED., MARCH
26th*, so you should come to the meeting tonight to find out how to sign up
to come with Cal Dems!

If you want to go to Convention but can't make the meeting tonight, reply to
this email and I'll give you the scoop. *Remember, the deadline is a week
from today*, so don't miss out! I'll see you all at the meeting tomorrow!
