Hi Dems!

Did anyone else read the SF Gate article this morning about Stanfurd making
tuition disappear for students whose families earn less than $100,000 per
year? (If you haven't, check it out:

The junior college across the bay is about to out-afford us!

As Cal students (and Democrats), we believe in the power of public
education, but today the cost of getting a degree at a public institution in
California is getting higher and higher; *tuition for the UCs has increased
an average of 89% in the last six years alone!* If you want to learn how YOU
can join students all across the state in making education more affordable,
come to the meeting *Thursday* at *7 pm* in *56 Barrows*. We'll be hearing
from Tuition Relief Now, California's first-ever student-led ballot
initiative that YOU can be a part of! Young people are leading the way in
changing the state of public education and make tuition relief a reality.
