Mon Apr 28 04:20:46 UTC 2008

Hello my lovely Cal Dems. I write you all, rather sadly I might add, to
announce the last Cal Dems meeting of the year. There will be FREE FOOD
(think West Coast cheesy sticks), a great slideshow, and a last chance to
hang out with your Cal Dems friends in 56 Barrows for the year. We'd love
to see you all come out and enjoy a very chill meeting. The new board will
be in charge so get ready for greatness.

Happy Birthday this week to Rachel Kapp, Shreya Malli, Clare McInerney, Joe
Garrity, and Julie Lanselle from the Cal Dems. Enjoy!
***************************
CAL DEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

-General Meeting, Thursday 7pm, 56 Barrows
As I said before, free cheesy sticks (come on now, what could be better,
really) and a cool slideshow and lots of love from your Cal Dems buddies.

-Picnic/Potluck, Saturday noon, Memorial glade
So we decided it'd be sweet to have a nice "come hang out with the Cal Dems
again before the year ends" picnic/potluck on memorial. We'll pass around a
sign-up sheet at the meeting on Thursday so we don't get a million plates
and no dessert (now wouldn't that be a tragedy!). Bring food, blankets,
frizbees, kites, and any other game/activity you'd like to enjoy with all of
us. See you there!

-Congrats to the new board!
  *President: Molly Brennan
  *EAVP: Morgan Wallace
  *IAVP: Ariel Boone
  *Secretary: Claire Viall
  *Treasurer: Daniel Osborn
Get ready for a great and productive election year everyone!

-PVC, Wednesday 7pm, 115 Barrows
Morgan has wonderful things planned for this last PVC meeting, I'm sure (or
will by Wednesday!).

- Canvass for Joan!

We will be walking for Joan Buchanan (Candidate AD-15) on Saturday May, 3 at
10am in Walnut Creek. Can you join us? You can get to Walnut Creek by BART,
or if you reply soon enough, Andrea will give you a ride in her newly
cleaned, Billy Joel-playing car. But she only has 4 spots, so claim yours
soon! It should be a grand old time and it is important that we start
raising awareness about Joan so that we can switch the seat from Red to Blue
in November! To sign up email Andrea at: andrea at joanbuchanan.com. We'll be
sure to be back in time for the potluck!
