Greetings to all of the wonderful Cal Dems out there! We want to thank
all of you who came out to the BBQ on Thursday. It was great to see so
many new faces and we hope everyone had as good a time as we all did! We
also hope everyone got a bit of a feel for the club and will continue to
come to our meetings throughout the semester!

CAL DEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
-First Meeting
The time has finally come for us to commence with our weekly meetings
(woohoo)! The first one will be this coming Thursday, September 6 and
will start at 7pm. For this meeting, you can find us in 60 Evans, and for
the rest of the semester after this, we’ll be in 56 Barrows, always at
7pm. Come out and get to know the board better, as well as meet other new
people in the club. This introductory meeting will help highlight all we
have planned for the semester and give you some great ways to get
involved!
-PVC Committee
Our Policy Values and Communications Committee will begin meeting
September 12 (Wednesday); the meetings will be held from 7 in 115 Barrows.
More information on this committee and what it does at the first meeting!
-Other Info
As always, don’t forget to check out www.caldems.com for more info on the
club, activities planned, etc. While you’re there, take a glance at our
awesome blog and keep your ears open at the first meeting to find out how
you can get involved. And if you really love voicing your political
thoughts in writing, check out Smart Ass, our club publication…there will
also be more info on this at the first meeting (wow, this first meeting is
beginning to sound pretty important/informative *wink, wink*). Finally,
if you just can’t get enough of Cal Dems, we’ll be tabling on Sproul
everyday…come say hi…we love company. As you might have guessed, there
will also be info in the upcoming meetings on how you can get involved
with tabling yourself.
