[Cal Dems] Proposition Endorsements Mtg + TAHOE IS IN 2 DAYS! :)

Hey everyone!

So, there was an election yesterday. Wait, what?? Don't worry, you
didn't blow it and forget; there were no state- or nation-wide
candidates or propositions on the ballot, and the only cities in
Alameda County that hit the polls last night were Emeryville, Newark,
and Livermore. In any case, TODAY is the one-year mark before the 2008
presidential election, so it's definitely time to start thinking about
elections -- as if you weren't doing so already!

At tomorrow's meeting (7 pm in 56 Barrows as always!) we'll be
discussing and voting on a Cal Dems endorsement for two of the three
propositions that will be on the February ballot in California: Prop
92, about funding for community colleges; and Prop 93, about term
limits. Remember: you MUST be a dues-paying member to cast a vote in
an endorsement, so bring your $10 to Sarah S. tomorrow if you haven't
done so already!

Finally, if you're going to Tahoe, try your best to come to the
meeting tomorrow, as we'll be talking about what to bring and what to
expect, as well as giving out an information sheet for the weekend.
