Good morning CAL DEMS! Rise and shine, campers!

Hopefully you have all had a great week and are looking forward to our
last two meetings of the semester. I personally am really excited about
this week's meeting, and I really hope that you will join us! The meeting
is THURSDAY, 4/19 at 7:00 P.M. in 170 BARROWS. Mayor Tom Bates, a
longtime Cal Dems friend, will be coming to talk about what the city is
doing to adopt sound environmental policies and reduce our impact on
global climate change. We Dems can be blue AND green! har har...
Moreover, it's just a great chance to sit with the mayor in a small
setting and find out anything you want to know about our fair city. The
bulk of the meeting will be reserved for your questions, so please start
brainstorming! Ugh, homework for Cal Dems?!

Also, two quick reminders. This Saturday is the last day to submit a
candidate statement to myself and Molly (molly at caldems.com) if you wish to
run for next year's Cal Dems board; our elections are next week. And if
you, like myself, were troubled by the Supreme Court's Wednesday morning
decision to uphold the the Federal Abortion Ban, NARAL is holding a rally
right before our meeting, 5:00 p.m. at Civic Center in San Francisco. For
more information, call NARAL Pro-Choice California at (415) 890-1020.

Democratically Yours,
Michelle Wasserman
President, Cal Berkeley Democrats
