on careers in progressive politics/social justice. Join us in listening to

ordinance
On Tuesday, March 27, the Berkeley City Council passed the second reading
of the Social Host ordinance. The new ordinance criminalizes the act of
hosting a gathering where minors (individuals under 21) are present and
consuming alcohol. Now we need your help to put this unreasonable, unjust,
and unconstitutional ordinance on the 2008 ballot. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO
COLLECT 5500 SIGNATURES AND REGISTER SIGNERS TO VOTE IN BERKELEY BEFORE

Sunday April 15, 11:30am or 12:40pm, I-House
Pete McCloskey, 8 term N. California Republican Congressman, noted
environmentalist, and avid supporter of Jerry McNerny's defeat of Richard
Pombo, will be speaking at the I-House on Sunday April 15. The title of
his lecture will be "War or World Peace Through Law," with the implicit
suggestion being that the world needs a system of global government,
capable of making and carrying out the enforcement of legitimate global
law, in order to stop war. Luncheon & Program:$40 ($20 for youth under 30
and students with valid student ID) arrive 11:30am. Program Only:$10
(Free for I-House Residents while space lasts) arrive by 12:40am. For
