>> Start of Voter Registration on Campus
Monday, September 25

On Monday the campus voter coalition will kick off this year's voter
registration drive on campus! If you're interested in helping register
voters, contact Blaise (patzcalski at berkeley.edu) or Sarah at
(sarah at caldems.com).

>> Policy, Values, and Communication Committee Meeting
Wednesday, September 27, 7pm, 50 Barrows

PVC members will continue to research and discuss the California
ballot propositions in advance of the club's October 5 endorsement
meeting. Wednesday's meeting will focus on practicing and refining our
proposition presentations. Contact Nathan (nathan at caldems.com) or

Wednesday, September 27, 8pm in the Unit 2 APR (under the courtyard)

Join us as we screen everyone's favorite political drama. This week
we'll be watching "Pilot," the first episode from Season 1 (so for
anyone who's unfamiliar with the series, this is the ideal time to get
your feet wet!). See how President Jed Bartlet (D-NH) and his staff
deal with the Christian Right, Cuban refugees, and a rogue tree.

The primary fundraising event of the Cal Berkeley Democrats is Dollars
for Democracy. Get to know club members and have fun fundraising for

>> Platinum Fellowship Informational Session
Monday, September 25, 7pm, IGS Library in Moses Hall

The Platinum Fellowship is a competitive and prestigious program under
the Institute for Government Studies. The program consists of an 8
week summer internship in Sacramento, preceded by a 2 unit class in
the Spring Semester taught by Former Assemblywoman Wilma Chan. The
deadline for applications is October 13, no later than 5pm.

The Berkeley Planning Commission is considering a proposal that that
would move the latest closing time for Telegraph businesses from
midnight to 10pm! Join ACCESS to let the commissioners know what you
think about that and to suggest student-friendly alternatives. Contact

>> Safety Walk-Through
Saturday, September 30, 7pm, Sproul Fountain

Join various housing communities, student organizations, and ACCESS
for the first safety walk-through in 6 years! We will walk through our
neighborhoods and mark off areas that are unsafe, poorly lit, or have
poor sidewalks. The results of your findings will be submitted into a
