Vice President Al Gore will be speaking in support of Proposition 87
on Monday. Prop 87 will enable California to lead the nation in
breaking our dependence on oil. Let's make sure Al Gore knows that

>> Climate Change Fair

Cal Dems will be participating in the November 3 climate change fair,
sponsored by the ASUC sustainability team. The climate change fair
will focus on educating students and staff about the facts, myths, and
potential consequences of climate change. Cal Dems needs some
volunteers to make our exhibit interactive and educational. Contact

Help make calls to identify Democratic voters in the area! As phone
banking is coordinated by the local United Democratic Campaign, your
efforts will aid several Democratic campaigns and issues. Drop by for
an hour or two to lend your support! Free snacks will be provided.

Cal Dems will be attending "What are Americans Voting For?" a
discussion featuring some very inspirational Democrats including
George Lakoff, Daily Kos blogger Markos Moulitsas, Moveon.org founder
Joan Blades and former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich. We'll be
meeting at the usual time and place and head over together to the

Saturday, Oct 28, 2006 9am-3pm

Help Cal Dems take back Congress! Join us on October 14 and October 28
to walk precincts for Jerry McNerney, who is challenging Republican
incumbent Richard Pombo. The most recent polls show this to be a very
close race, so this is where you can make the most difference. We'll
be taking BART to Dublin and walking precincts from 10 to 2. Email

debates! This week the candidates for Mayor, Rent Board, and other

November 1 will feature a debate between the City Council candidates
from District 8, Gordon Wozniak and Cal student Jason Overman. Contact
