As most of you know, we have a crucial special election for State Senate approaching on June 22. Voters in Senate district will choose their next state senator - either John Laird, a Democrat and former community college trustee, or Sam Blakeslee, a Republican who orchestrated the gutting of higher education as Assembly Minority Leader. Walkout Advocacy Letters

At our meeting last Thursday, almost 100 Cal Dems signed letters urging their representatives to protect higher education in California. You can view a copy of our letter here.
