As usual with Feinstein, I have a couple concerns.

First, passing a "moderate bill" that can be "strengthened" is not sound reasoning. What makes you think that you will be able to strengthen the bill once it is passed?

Second, I hope this is a different bill than the one she proposed last year, which would only decrease our greenhouse gas emissions by 7.25% by 2020. What this tells the rest of the world is that the United States knows about global warming but we really don't want to stop it.

I'm glad that someone in Washington wants to finally take action to curb our contribution to global warming, but we need a lot more "umph" in our policies if we want to reverse the effects of global warming.

On a somewhat related note, recent studies have shown that even if the United States signed onto the Kyoto Protocol, it would not be enough. This just goes to show how much more attention and effort the human race needs to put in to stop global warming.
