Creating jobs? Nope. Defunding Planned Parenthood? You betcha!
As we all know, during the 2010 midterm campaign cycle, Republicans slammed President Obama for focusing on things other than creating jobs, like affordable health care for all Americans. But less than a month into their majority in the House, Republicans have forgotten all about jobs. Instead, issues like redefining rape and challenging funding sources for Planned Parenthood have been on the top of the list of their priorities, undermining their own campaign promises. Below is a video of Congresswomen Jackie Speier challenging the proposed Republican cuts to Planned Parenthood and their recent vendetta against abortion. Its funny to me how much Republicans like to talk about helping the American people, but how it takes a strong California Congresswoman telling her story to raise awareness about the GOP’s blatant disregard for basic women’s rights.
